Job Summary:

The Manufacturing Team Member  is responsible for assembling wood trusses and wall panels according to production specifications. This role involves the use of hand and power tools to construct roof trusses and wall panels for residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a commitment to safety and quality. We are a 2nd chance employer. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble wood trusses and wall panels according to engineered designs and blueprints.
  • Use of machinery to produce single family homes, apartments & commercial projects.
  • Ensure all components are assembled accurately and meet company quality standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Assist with loading and unloading materials as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Operate machinery and equipment safely, following all company policies and OSHA regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • The belief that your brightest days are ahead of you.
  • Experience in construction, carpentry, or manufacturing is a plus but not required.
  • Comfortable working with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to lift to 50 lbs. (rarely) and perform repetitive tasks in a physically demanding environment.

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating forklifts to move materials throughout the facility. This role requires attention to detail and a strong commitment to safety protocols while ensuring efficient operations. This position is responsible for locating and selecting lumber grade and length in accordance with the specifications and pick lists, then positioning material in the specified staging area such as in-feed decks and storage racks.

Duties

  • Load all specified cut lumber for truss batches in the order specified by Manager.
  • Place the components of each truss run on the deck or storage racks.
  • Perform pre-operational checklist for assigned forklift and safely operate the forklift.
  • Complete continuous quality review throughout processes to meet quality and accuracy requirements.
  • Make sure new lumber is stored away inside.
  • Dump lumber hopper for saw.
  • Perform daily stretch and flex prior to starting job duties.
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area including picking up and disposing of banding, paper, spacers, lumber pieces, trash, etc.
  • Report any equipment and product deficiencies (mold, splits, knots) to supervisor.
  • Follow all established written and unwritten company procedures.
  • Wear all required PPE (steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear plugs, rubber palm gloves).
  • Comply with OSHA requirements and established company safety policies and procedures.
  • Accepts other duties as assigned by the manager.

Skills

  • Proven experience in a distribution center or warehouse setting is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  • Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate various types of forklifts and heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in material handling tasks.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.

Job Description
Designing Wood Floor Trusses, Roof Trusses, and Wall Panels for bidding purposes as well as actual jobs utilizing Mitek design software which is an AutoCAD like program. Projects will range from houses to apartment complexes as well as light commercial jobs. Will utilize other computer software, such as AutoCAD and Excel, as well as engineering practices and mathematics in the process of completing design work. Interact with draftsmen, architects, and structural engineers as well as customers, sales personnel, and co-workers about feasibility, possibilities, and other design criteria. Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or two (2) to four (4) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination or education and experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read blueprints and visualize details in three dimensions.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Previous truss design and/or construction experience and knowledge a plus.

 

DESCRIPTION

Classic Truss is currently accepting applications & hiring for Class A CDL Delivery Drivers! Full-time positions are available. Positions would be Monday-Friday, with REGIONAL driving.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Heavy lifting & carrying up to 150 lbs
  • Carefully operating a flat bed dump truck
  • Tightly securing loads with ratchet/roller straps
  • Following planned routes to specification
  • Keeping track of paperwork
  • Detailed vehicle inspection reports
  • Counting to confirm exact quantities (up to 1,000)
  • Dumping/hand unloading a wide variety of materials, some of them delicate
  • Staying in contact with your customers & your dispatcher (a personal cell phone is required)
  • Safely navigating a vehicle during winter road conditions
  • Remaining alert at all times while driving & operating machinery
  • Obeying all traffic laws

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Need clean driving record & valid driver’s license.
  • Experience preferred but not necessary – we will train!
  • 40+ Hours per week (overtime will be frequently available)
